Food Storer

Our task was to create shelf appeal to commit the customer at point of purchase and then to engage the user during the product's life.

The form factors are balanced with ergonomic constraints so the storer is secure to handle (hot or cold) with easy lid removal, whilst providing a good seal. The central ‘pressure valve' allows for microwave cooking without fear of the lid blowing off.

The design is resolved for economic manufacture, the tooling without complexity and the box and lid are designed for stiffness whilst minimizing volume of plastic.

Getting all the design factors balanced out is not easy to do, made more challenging by creating a clean visual form to carry across a product range of 24 products over a wide variety of product shapes and sizes.
