Perch
Connecting people with their environment.
The outdoor Perch is designed to be vandal-proof. It is durable, weather proof and designed to enhance the townscape. But it is in their use, as 5 minute rest stops, that passers-by love them. So much of our townscape has become barren with too little opportunity for people to stop, rest and connect with each other and their surroundings. Set-out in clusters, the Perch becomes a focal point for social interaction in the town square, shopping centre, university campus or business park.
The seat is crowned to for rain to fall away, and small enough in area not to gather litter and need cleaning. The Perches are made from pre-cast concrete or reconstituted stone and so can be made in a variety of colours or textures. The Perches are set permanently into the ground like a standard bollard and are expected to last for 30 years.
